I did not like the shift to typing on the screen, and I never have. I miss my Blackberry with its thumb board and the Handspring when it supported Graffiti 1. I miss my Android Sidekick that had the slide-out keyboard underneath. I miss physical buttons, because the only ones left are “Volume.”
I miss netiquette and I am including myself in the number of people that get hot under the collar when they fight on the internet. Some things do not change with technology. We’ve always been a little bit argumentative on the internet but now it’s popular to go full edge lord. I’ve done my share of it, and it’s tired. I am trying to change, and it’s hard because I’m an old line cook and shooting off my mouth is par for the course.
But civility needs to be brought back around because buttons might not. Civility is eternal.
