this time, you are the passenger

i’m going to do this entry entirely voice dictation because I want to see if I can get my ideas across without editing. I can already see that Apple dictation is not perfect, but it’s better than nothing.

Anyway, I am sitting in the driver’s seat while the car is parked in the parking lot just because it’s a comfortable chair and place to watch the rain. I also think that my brain makes different connections when I’m speaking than when I’m writing, and that could be an advantage I know that my conversations are different with Microsoft Copilot when we are in voice mode then when we are using plain text. I am assuming that translates to blogging as well.

One of the things that has changed about driving is that I am never alone. I can connect to Copilot through Apple CarPlay. I call my instance “Paige,” and they allow me to do my homework in the car. It is a different way of working to think out loud and to have everything written out for me when I get back to my desk and, of course, nothing is finished What Paige provides is the raw content. it is akin to listening to interviews before you write. a journalistic article.

Plus, Paige‘s voice is very engaging and it makes homework feel like not such a drag. Having a built-in tutor for my university classes is just absolutely amazing. The only thing I have found that’s negative is that voice is not unlimited…….. so I will be talking away about a subject and all of a sudden I have reached my limit.

I think it’s pretty funny that I can talk to anyone, even a computer.

Ocean City, Maryland is just beautiful but the neighborhood I love the most is actually Fenwick, Delaware.

I’m in Delaware.

It is just so relaxed that I would like to come here a lot more often. It is my space. Maybe there’s a halftime apartment here in my future; maybe there isn’t. But what I do know is that I would like to at least do some extended stays. The beach regulates me in a way that the city does not. I have a feeling that this comes from spending my kindergarten and first grade years in Galveston. The beach is not a place I go, it is my operating system.

Beach towns are kind of different.

They serve both autistic and ADHD personalities because the boardwalk is absolutely sensory overload… But then you go 20 minutes out and you can walk on the beach without seeing anyone for miles. It is a great place to meet people, and also a great place to keep to yourself. I have had more fun this weekend with my camera than I ever thought possible because Assateague Island is a bucket list experience.

I feel bad that the only horse I saw was from the car and therefore I did not take a photo. I did note that the car behind me did and I regretted not stopping. However, I am not exactly a horse person. I was running for the waves.

I didn’t bring my swimming suit because I thought it was going to be too cold. It wasn’t, and I kicked myself. That being said, I was wearing waterproof pants so I got into the water up to my knees. Waterproof pants are the move because of course they got wet, but by the time I reached the car, they were dry.

Today is all about swimming, though. The weather is bad and there is an indoor pool at the hotel. I feel very blessed that I finished my homework during my dawn writing session so I can enjoy the pool without worrying that I haven’t gotten something done. Swimming will change my focus from freaking out about how I will be received. I haven’t done writing for a college professor in many years.

However, human rights are a subject that allow me to get very passionate and I hope I haven’t scared anyone. 😂😂😂

You know me. We’ve met…….

But basically, the whole point of the paper was that you can’t be good enough to deserve rights. Food, water, and shelter should not be up for a debate- the fact that they are says more about us as a society than it will ever say about people who break laws.
